Corey Magstadt – Executive Director
After graduating college with a degree in pastoral ministry, Corey helped begin The River Alliance Church in Chaska, MN. After serving there for 8 years, marrying Lori, having two children, and receiving a Masters of Divinity from Bethel Seminary, Corey is excited to embark upon this new adventure in Launch Ministry. With a heart for the outcast and those that have been left out, Corey desires to see God do amazing things in the lives of young people in this community.
Travis Berry- Program Coordinator
Travis graduated from Crown College in the winter of ’09 with a degree in Youth Ministry. While at school Travis began working at Promise Community Church in Waconia, MN as the Student Ministries Leader and is still in that role today. He is excited about working with Launch because he is passionate about seeing people grow in faith in the living God of the Bible. Travis enjoys playing golf, fantasy baseball, drinking coffee, reading and learning about theology, being with friends and he loves getting to know God more.
Dan Armstrong- Governing Board
With degrees in pastoral ministry, theology, and special education, and extensive experience in education and coffee shop ministry, Dan provides unique knowledge and perspective to the leadership team of Launch Ministry. Dan brings a passion for holistic transformation, which bridges connections between the heart and the head. Dan is interested in deep conversations over coffee, the arts, deep community, and spending time with his beautiful bride-to be.
Lori Magstadt – Systems Manager
From growing up in Hong Kong, China, to high school in Iowa, all the world has so far successfully survived her intensity and high spirits. Lori lives a life of extremes, from starting charter schools to the monotonous life of a stay-at-home mom. After six years of higher education, Lori has obtained degrees in teaching Elementary Education, ESL, Christian Studies, with a minor in English Literature, but whether she will ever use these remains mystery. In the meantime, Lori spends her days staring a databases for a curriculum company, singing made up songs about interesting events in a four-year-old girl’s life and looking up cool things like strep throat bacteria for a very inquisitive six-year-old boy
Mike Friesen – Governing Board
Mike was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, but, has lived in North Dakota, Wisconsin and Minnesota. He was born and raised in a Christian family and is currently enrolled at Crown College in the Ministry program, scheduled to graduate in the fall of 2010. Mike currently is on a diet fix. After weighing 485 lbs in April of 2008, he is now down to 265lbs. He has been an instrumental part of the founding of Launch Ministry and continues to be heavily involved in a variety of ways.
