Housing

In a housing crisis? We’d love to help. See the process below.

Intake

Schedule a crisis intake at the top of the page and tell us what’s going on. The Crisis Intake process helps us determine how dangerous your current living situation is and how quickly we need to help you find the resources you need. Based on your needs and the circumstances you are in, we have a number of potential options to help you gain stability. For some, that could include a Housing Assessment which determines your eligibility for different types of county and state funded housing programs.

Emergency Shelter

Some participants will be eligible for emergency hotel room vouchers, depending upon the circumstances you are in. There are a limited number of vouchers available and usually a waiting list, so if we can’t help you with this right away, we will try to direct you to other emergency resources. For those who are eligible, we will connect you with a hotel room and provide support for you to navigate toward stable housing while ensuring that your basic needs are met. Schedule a crisis intake at the top of the page to get started.

Permanent Supportive Housing

After the assessment process, some participants will be referred from the housing waiting lists to our permanent supportive housing program. This program is specifically for those who have been experiencing homelessness for at least a year and have an eligible disability (mental health, chemical dependency, physical disability, etc.). In this program, we will support you in your own apartment somewhere in Carver or Scott County and help ensure that you have what you need to live independently. Schedule a crisis intake at the top of the page to get started!
